Organizing

Being organized is about more than just where your paper clips go.

Most people have too much stuff and can stand to pare down what they have at least a little, and more often, a lot. Then there’s organizing and maintaining what’s left. The hard part is getting started. I am practiced in identifying where people get stuck -- and specialize in creating the space and systems needed to accomplish everyday tasks.

Why be organized?

  • Live and work more comfortably and effectively.
  • Reduce your stress — you’re in control of your environment, rather than having it control you.
  • See what your projects and priorities are, with clarity to change or get rid of what no longer fits your values and goals.
  • Find new energy.
  • Gain room and space, both literally and mentally, for the important things.

How does it work?

Area by area, room by room. That’s how it gets done. I know the questions to ask to make decisions about things. We’ll work together at least some of the time; in some situations I can work on my own. I’ll create an organized area containing only what is useful, valuable, beautiful, or sentimental to you.

I get your home or business organized by:

  • Clearing out the clutter
  • Simplifying your space
  • Dealing with every piece of paper (paper doesn’t scare me)
  • Giving your closets and clothing room to breathe
  • Turning your kitchen, garage, and storeroom into a more efficient place
  • Creating personalized systems to manage home and office paper and clutter
  • Accomplishing all this in less time than you spent just thinking about it

Before

Being disorganized is stressful, costly, shameful, embarrassing, annoying, and inefficient. Poor money management has the same effects, with worse consequences to your bank account and credit record.

After

Being organized has the opposite effect: calming, cost-effective, empowering, and productive, increasing your sense of control, self-esteem, and confidence. Having control over your finances adds to this sense of freedom and control.
